For the year 2022, consolidated sales of Energetick\u00fd a pr\u016fmyslov\u00fd holding, a.s. (\u201cEPH\u201d or the \u201cGroup\u201d) totalled EUR 37.1 billion (compared to EUR 19.0 billion in 2021). EBITDA reached EUR 4.3 billion (compared to EUR 2.3 billion in 2021), which represents an EBITDA margin of 11.7% (a decrease from 12,1% EBITDA margin in 2022). The Group will pay to the European public budgets over EUR 2.2 billion in 2022 corporate income tax and for emission allowances related to 2022 consumption. In the domicile of EPH, Czech Republic, total corporate income tax and emission allowances payments for 2022 will be around CZK 10 billion. <\/strong>The above figures exclude the results of LEAG and Slovensk\u00e9 elektr\u00e1rne (\u201cSE\u201d), in which EPH holds significant equity interests but which are not included in the consolidated scope. <\/strong>The improved financial performance was achieved partly due to the exceptional situation in the European energy market, but also due to the systematic growth of EPH, both through acquisitions and its own development.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Presented financial results are accompanied by the following operational indicators – the Group as a consolidated entity generated:<\/p>\n

– Generated 37 TWh of electricity (exceeded 100 TWh including LEAG and SE)\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

– Transported 256 TWh of gas and consumed 46.9 TWh of gas for electricity generation purposes (most of which is in Italy and the UK)<\/p>\n

– Operated flexible gas storage capacity of 64.2 TWh located in Slovakia, Germany, the Czech Republic and the UK\u00a0<\/p>\n

– Distributed 48.3 TWh of natural gas and 6.3 TWh of electricity\u00a0<\/p>\n

– Produced and delivered to customers 7.9 PJ of thermal energy<\/p>\n
